East Anglian Art Ambles
“Take part in art” with Richard Nichols as he takes you on a journey of art discovery around some famous locations as well as the lesser known areas of this wonderful region .
How does an Art Amble work?
Richard can collect you in the art amble minibus from a pre-arranged pick up point or meet you at the venue and after a short introduction you make your way to the first stop where you can let your creative talents flow. Locations are often chosen that are off the beaten track, where you will be free to relish in the beauty of the coast, countryside and history of the region.
Due to a maximum of 8 participants, these special Art Ambles can concentrate on developing your sketching skills as much as painting and it is possible to visit up to three locations in a day, although this will depend upon the make-up of the group and places visited – which may change due to the weather or conditions beyond our control.
What could you experience?
In the past our keen participants have enjoyed:
“Capturing the Castle” at Framlingham and Orford, “Coastal Suffolk” which features wonderful coastal retreats such as Southwold, Dunwich, Aldeburgh, “Escape to Estuaries” in Snape, Iken, Woodbridge and Waldringfield or “Paint your favourite Plants” at specialist Nurseries and “Historic Places” such as Flatford, Dedham and Lavenham.
What’s included and how much?
These Special Art Ambles include:
- Pick up from and return to one of two chosen locations if required
- Light lunch and refreshments during the day as chosen
- Tips and techniques at each venue visited
- Comfort stops where necessary
Art equipment such as: paper, pencils, brushes, paint etc can be supplied at a nominal additional charge.
